Indecisive? Or just a perfectionist?

Ok so, I changed my theme again. While I am a fan of pink, the other day when I looked at my page, the pink was SO overwhelming I had to change it immediately! Since the New York Jets are my favorite sports team, (and I did name this blog “Bleeding Green and White”) I tried to find a suitable theme to match my topic…namely something with green in it! I found one that allowed a personalized header picture so I was going to do that and put the New York Jets logo as the picture. However, there are too problems with this: a. I couldn’t resize the logo image to fit properly in the appropriate size frame and b. I’m not just going to talk about the New York Jets here…while I’ll focus on them, I will discuss other happenings in sports. Here are the themes I picked and discarded before settling on the current theme…which may not last till the end of the semester!

So, why the indecisiveness? Well, I’m just not 100% satisfied with any of theme, including my current theme. My ideal theme would show my love for sports, with a green aspect, that still shows my girly side. I’ll keep the current one for a bit, see if I warm up to it but no guarantees. Basically, what it all comes down to is that I can be a perfectionist. I can’t help it…I don’t like to settle! With that in mind, I think I’m going to peruse the themes again and see if something new catches my eye!

My First Post!

So I’m writing my first entry for my new blog! When I started thinking about what I was going to focus on with this blog, my mind immediately went to my favorite sports team, the New York Jets. I wasn’t 100% sure I wanted to do this though since their season just ended with the AFC Championship game loss. But, they are my favorite team and there’s going to be a lot going on in the off-season so I figure I can find a lot to talk about.

I have to say, starting this blog wasn’t as hard as I thought it was gonna be. Currently, as you can see, I picked a pink background with sunflowers. Pink is one of my favorite colors but I’m not sure if I want my theme to be all pink based. I figure I’ll test this out for a couple of days and play around with it until I find something that I absolutely love! I think one of the biggest problems I’m going to have with this blog will be remembering to keep my posts grammatically correct. This blog was created for an English writing course so I have to watch and make sure I don’t slip into slang or abbreviations. Other than that, I’m really looking forward to working on this blog this semester. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun to do. For the time being, check nyjets.com for the message Coach Rex Ryan gave his players at the last team meeting of the season.
